Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation Review
I first need to state I am in the shade "10 Great Ivory," whatever that implies.

Anyway, I have helpless, sleek, skin break out the inclined surface so as you can presumably envision finding a foundation that covers the entirety of my flaws, remains on throughout the day, doesn't cause me to go slick, AND doesn't break me out is the thing that I would call troublesome.

Even though I have attempted Tarte, Nars, Macintosh, and then some, I generally end up back at the drugstore. I don't have the foggiest idea why, yet drugstore cosmetics, despite everything, turns out to be better for me.

Possibly it is because when I was youthful, similar to 8 or 9 when my mom took me to CVS or Walgreens, she would consistently let me choose a 'treat' as I would call it. I would like a few times to select treats or a pack of pencils, yet more often than not, it would be cosmetics. Since the time I was small, I was intrigued by cosmetics.

At any rate back to the foundation. I generally end up at the drugstore, so it bodes well that one of the most fundamental cosmetics things I would arrive.

One thing I adore about Neutrogena foundations is they make my skin look such a lot more advantageous. The dewy sparkle I get from this foundation just as their strong skin foundation is beyond words.

Another factor concerning why I am so enamored with this foundation is the way it doesn't break out my skin. Such a significant number of better quality foundations have broken me out in the past that I have lost check. This doesn't just cause new breakouts, yet it helps battle my present ones. Am I the one in particular who thinks this is an explanation enough to remain with it?!?

The only critique I have of this foundation is the package. It is hard to get the product out of the bottle after like a week of use. This annoys me so much!!!

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation Review
I’ve been on a drugstore kick lately and have been busting out some of my favorites that I haven’t used in ages. Neutrogena Skin Clearing Foundation has been around for quite some time, but I realized I never gave it a proper review. So, here goes!

Packaging:
Boo, Neutrogena. I love the color scheme of the packaging and am digging the clean, minimalist vibe; however, there is no pump, and banging this heavy glass bottle on the back of my hand is both painful and not very sanitary.

Application:
I applied using my beauty blender over a thin layer of Estee Lauder EE Cream (review coming soon!). The texture of this foundation is somewhere in the middle. It certainly isn’t runny, but it’s not as thick as Covergirl’s Stay Fabulous. It blends easily, but sets within a few seconds, so work quickly in small sections. I’ve used flat top kabuki to apply this before but found I often had brush streaks I would have to go back and blend over. The Beauty Blender is my preferred method. Below is an unblended swatch of Shade 10 (Classic Ivory), and if you look closely, you’ll notice a tiny kitty paw walking towards me.

Coverage:
I would consider this to be a more substantial medium. It’s not quite full, but very close! It’s got a natural matte finish that isn’t super drying or aging, but rather flattering, especially to those with oily and problematic skin. The redness in my cheeks was gone, and all my little blemishes were covered to my satisfaction without any additional concealer (except for under eyes).

Longevity:
Although it’s not marketed as being long-wearing, this is one of the most extended-lasting drugstore foundations available. I still got a bit shiny in my standard areas, but there was no breakdown. It stayed fresh for the 14+ hours I had it on without any blotting or touching up. Even my blush was still visible, which is the actual test of a good foundation.

Final Verdict:
One of my all-time favorites. It’s great when it’s that particular time of the month, and you’re more prone to breakouts, but even when I’m having a good skin day, I think it just helps keep everything a little bit brighter. I think I’ll reach for this more now that the weather is getting a little bit warmer. Be forewarned, though, unless your skin is exceptionally oily, and I wouldn’t wear this daily due to the drying effects of salicylic acid.
